Aurora Swain
Director of Operations Families First in Cabarrus County
Aurora has more than 15 years of experience with nonprofits aimed at early childhood and parenting education. She is the founder of Families First in Cabarrus County, a nonprofit operating two bilingual preschools and evidence-based early childhood parenting and education programs. She began her career as a home-visiting parent educator, eventually becoming the National Parent Educator of the Year.
Swain serves as Chair of the Student Affairs Committee on the Board of the Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. She has a bachelor’s degree from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, majoring in Systems and Industrial Engineering and Marketing. She also holds a Level Three Child Care Administrator Credential.
